This Cookie Policy applies to the Ivorvelle website operated by Ivorvelle Theatre Studio Inc.. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text value that a website may ask a browser to store and return on later requests. Similar technologies can include local storage, session storage, and other browser mechanisms used to preserve a setting or identifier. These tools can support essential site functions, remember preferences, or—on some websites—measure behaviour across pages or services.

2. Current Ivorvelle website configuration

The current Ivorvelle front-end is intentionally simple and uses local website assets. It does not include third-party advertising pixels, embedded social-media feeds, remote analytics scripts, or external font services. The site’s contact interaction is handled in the browser and does not require an account or a persistent visitor profile.

The front-end code does not intentionally set non-essential marketing or behavioural cookies. A hosting provider may still use strictly necessary infrastructure mechanisms or create ordinary server logs to deliver, secure, or balance traffic. Those hosting-layer functions depend on the environment in which the site is deployed and should be configured consistently with applicable privacy requirements.

3. Strictly necessary functions

Strictly necessary technologies are those required for a service specifically requested by the visitor or for basic security and network operation. If the hosting platform uses such a mechanism, it may be necessary to deliver pages, protect the service, preserve short-lived security state, or prevent abusive traffic. Where law permits, these essential mechanisms do not generally require the same opt-in consent used for optional tracking because the requested service cannot function properly without them.

4. Optional measurement or marketing technologies

Ivorvelle’s current static front-end does not activate optional measurement or marketing technologies. If the site is changed in the future to include non-essential analytics, advertising, cross-site identifiers, or similar optional technologies, those technologies should not be activated for visitors who are legally entitled to prior consent until the appropriate choice has been obtained.

Any future consent interface should provide a genuine ability to accept or reject optional categories, explain the purposes clearly, avoid making refusal unnecessarily difficult, and allow consent to be withdrawn as easily as it was given.

5. Browser choices

Most browsers provide settings that allow users to inspect, block, or delete stored site data. Blocking all storage can affect sites that depend on essential session mechanisms. Because the current Ivorvelle front-end does not rely on a visitor account or non-essential tracking, ordinary browsing should require very little persistent browser storage from the site itself.

6. Duration and retention

Where a necessary cookie or similar technical value is used by the deployment environment, its duration should be limited to what is appropriate for the technical purpose. Session technologies ordinarily expire when the session ends, while a longer-lived security or preference value may remain for a defined period. Optional tracking technologies, if ever introduced, should have documented retention periods appropriate to their purpose.

7. Relationship to privacy rights

If a cookie or similar technology contains or can be linked to information about an identifiable person, privacy-law rights may apply. Depending on the law that applies, those rights may include access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of consent. 8. Categories that may require consent if introduced

If Ivorvelle later adds optional technologies, they may fall into categories such as audience measurement, preference storage, embedded third-party content, or promotional attribution. A category label alone is not sufficient information for consent. The site should identify the purpose of the technology, the provider where relevant, the type of information involved, and the expected duration before a visitor is asked to choose.

Optional technologies should remain inactive until the required choice has been made. Refusing optional technologies should not prevent access to ordinary public information unless the optional service is genuinely necessary for a feature the visitor specifically requests.

9. Third-party content and future integrations

The current website does not rely on embedded third-party media, remote social widgets, external advertising scripts, or cross-site tracking. If an external integration is introduced later, Ivorvelle should review whether that integration stores or reads information on the visitor’s device and whether prior consent, additional disclosure, or a separate privacy arrangement is required.

Where optional third-party content is offered, it may be appropriate to keep that content blocked until the visitor chooses to activate it. This approach reduces unnecessary disclosure of device or network information before the visitor has expressed an intention to use the external feature.

10. Consent records and withdrawal

Where consent is the legal basis for an optional technology, the consent mechanism should record enough information to demonstrate the choice without collecting more data than necessary. Visitors should be able to change or withdraw that choice through an accessible control, and withdrawal should stop future optional processing that depends on consent.

A later change in purpose may require a new choice. Consent obtained for one clearly described purpose should not automatically be treated as permission for unrelated tracking or profiling.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy if the site’s technical configuration changes or if legal requirements evolve. The effective date above identifies the current version. If future changes introduce optional technologies that require consent, the site should present the relevant controls before those technologies are activated for visitors who are entitled to that choice.
